  • ABSTRACT
  • Urban public transport is the main body of the urban passenger transport system and is a fundamental industry having immense influence to the social and economic development of our society. In the past more than 30 years of reform and opening up, urban public transport has achieved the considerable development and improvement. But the effect is not significant. The competition in the urban public transport industry is not sufficient. The monopoly in the urban public transport industry still exists in most cities. Study on the competition mode of urban public transport industry in China has a very important theoretical and practical significance. In this paper, based on the introduction on the typical modes of competition in monopoly industries, the general idea on the competition model of urban public transport industry in China is given, and a relatively feasible competition model of urban public transport industry in China is put forward.
