  • ABSTRACT
  • Transformer noise increasing can be caused by its internal fault, abnormal operating conditions and so on. In this paper, for transformer in Yulin station, the reason of its abnormal noise is found, though analyzing the operating conditions, testing for noise and vibration, measuring DC of the transformer neutral point, and comparing with the time between monopole operation by ground of DC transmission system and increasing noise of the transformer. Results of testing and analysis show that the transformer abnormal noise is due to its DC bias phenomena, that caused by monopole operation by ground of Deyang converter station. And its affect distances are up to 300km.
