  • New technology and products development is needed to adapt thermal performance requirements of building envelope structures. Owing to some excellent characteristics such as low density, great thermal insulation, low cost and long service life, the lightweight self-insulating wall material has been a promising modern construction material. In this study, the main objective was to provide some basic information about the relationship between the elementary composition and the performance of lightweight self-insulating wall materials. The experiment and numerical simulation on mechanical and thermal properties are studied. The results can hopefully provide theoretical support and practical guidance for the optimization design, performance evaluation, and engineering application of the lightweight self-insulating wall materials.
